Be Well Co merges with The Oranges Toolkit.

Be Well Co is proud to announce a merger with The Oranges Toolkit, with our two leading wellbeing brands joining forces to improve our combined reach and impact across Australia. This merger is poised to create a leader in the wellbeing and mental health sector, combining the strengths of both our companies to deliver enhanced value to our clients, while advancing a meaningful impact on society’s wellbeing.

The merger means we are able to provide an expanded suite of products offering a comprehensive approach to the health of individuals, organisations and the wider community. By combining resources, the merged entity can invest more in research and development, leading to innovative solutions that will lead to new industry standards, while at the same time contributing to advancing scientific knowledge on mental health and wellbeing.

Why merge?

By merging with The Oranges Toolkit, we will be strengthening our national reach and leveraging the strength The Oranges Toolkit has in nationwide service provision, bringing in new internal capability to improve the way we deliver our services. When Be Well Co was established our aim was to become a national service provider, which this merger enables us to do more efficiently and sustainably.

At the same time, we will be able to provide our clients access to the The Oranges Toolkit product suite, providing new educational workshops and programs for organisations who are dedicated to investing in their staff’s wellbeing.

"With increasing rates of mental health problems in Australian society, there is a need for new ways to help people live their best lives. By merging with the Oranges Toolkit, Be Well Co will be able to bring our combined solutions to more people and organisations that need them"

Be Well Co’s former parent entity, the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), will continue to be associated with Be Well Co via research affiliations, but our ownership will be handed over to The Oranges Toolkit's parent company, children’s cancer charity Camp Quality.

This merger means Be Well Co will become a social enterprise, who in addition to continuing to support mental health research, will contribute profits to help Camp Quality deliver supportive programs and cancer education to kids and their families facing cancer across Australia.

Be Well Co will continue to have a substantial presence within South Australia, with the organisation moving location to Camp Quality's Adelaide office.

A huge thank you to our partners and supporters.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with truly amazing people and organisations who are dedicated to improving wellbeing. We would not have been able to make this important next step for our business, if it wasn't for them.

We want to thank our former and current staff, who have been dedicated to our mission for all these years, and helping us establish the merger. We would particularly like to thank our Co-founder Monique Newberry, who has taken this opportunity to finish up as Co-CEO after leading this work within SAHMRI for close to a decade. Monique was instrumental in setting up Be Well Co and establishing the business as a national player together with Co-Founder Joep van Agteren. Joep will continue as a leader of Be Well Co together with Oranges leadership, joined by other Be Well Co and The Oranges team members.

We want to thank our organisational partners who partner with us to provide mental health and wellbeing services and our philanthropic and government partners for their support. We look forward to continuing to work with you for years to come.

We finally want to thank SAHMRI for their support in helping us spin out and get ready for this exciting new step in our journey.
